We won!

We took back the Wisconsin Senate.  That means that the far right wing of the Republican Party can no longer at-their-will ram through the legislation that is detrimental to the progressive (and Progressive with a capital P) will of Wisconsin.  Good for us!  We should celebrate this victory.  As Marcia has been tryng to teach us, we should assert our values, rather than make excuses for why our opposition has won a few in the past couple of years.  We value a clean and healthy environment.  We value quality, inexpensive education for all.  We value the dignity of wage-earning working people.  We value health care for all.  We value secure and comfortable retirement for all.  Etc., etc., you can add to the list and it is a long list.  And yes, we value business entrepreneurship and a vigorous free market -- FOR ALL.

Thank you, Marcia, Nate, and all the rest of you who fight the good fight.

John Scepanski, DeForest Area Progressives

John, Of all the omissions I have committed, my last comments contains probably the most serious ever.
For thank yous, I forgot Marcia, of all people. She envelopes our DAP group in such a nurturing cloud that without her, we might fade away.
Marcia always exposes our group to new and interesting topics and ways of looking at things…and projects.
    Ouch…my bad.
Thanks for listening and please call me out if I miss something or am really off base.

Hi John, I just wanted to add thanks to you and also to Buzz, Roger, all the Grassroots groups, the individual canvassers, callers, sign makers, presenters, sponsors, facilitators, bloggers, and overachievers that helped stop the backward movement of the state. We will continue to gain momentum in our Forward movement. On Wisconsin! One day longer, one day stronger. We shall not be moved….and so on.

(I don’t know why this posting made a link out the word “education.” I did not intend it, wherever it came from. John)
