We Are Wisconsin -- The Movie -- Friday, March 1, 2013

"This film will be the record people will refer to a hundred years from now when they study this era of greed," said Oscar and Emmy-winner filmmaker Michael Moore. The film Moore references is We are Wisconsin, This is what democracy looks like, which will be shown on Friday, March 1, 7 PM at Mt. Horeb High School auditorium. The Cajun Roundabouts, consisting of musicians County Board Supervisor Pat Downing and Bill & Colleen Foley. will also be performing at the event. (Music starts at 6:30 pm). Guest speaker Rep. Sondy Pope Roberts will take part in the evening as well.

Brian Austin, one of the founders of Cops for Labor movement and Mt. Horeb resident will introduce the film along with wife Melissa, associate producer. There will be a question and answer session after the showing.The feature documentary film follows day-to-day public outcry against Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker's controversial budget-repair bill, focusing on the human story behind an uprising forged on the floor of the Madison capitol.

The event is sponsored by Southwest Wisconsin Area Progressives (SWWAP) and Wisconsin Network for Peace and Justice.

Suggested donation is $10, with no one turned away for lack of funds. All donations will benefit the Mt. Horeb and Blue Mounds Food Pantries.

Donations of non-perishable food will be accepted to benefit Mt. Horeb area food pantries.
